The National Broadband Network (NBN) promises fast and reliable internet connections to Australian homes and businesses. Why is my NBN slow or dropping out?
There are a range of reasons for this and firstly we encourage you to report any problems with your NBN service to your internet provider.
Once it is established that the fault is not in the NBN network, we can have a discussion with you and then arrange a technician to come and have a look at your internal wiring. We can also have a look at your cabling and WiFi setup.
The cause of most problems is either old wiring or wiring that is configured for telephone. We also fix issues with the WiFi being unable to keep up with the higher speeds that NBN offers.
Premises with alarm systems and extra phone points normally see the biggest gains. Other times, an old outlet that has been disconnected is still actually connected.
